Primark/Penneys 2016 S/S collection. 16/01/2016

Hey guys! Honestly so sorry about the delay with this blog, school is seriously getting in the way!

As you have probably heard, primary have released their Spring Summer 2016 collection and once again they are ahead of themselves! Everything is so fab and so affordable! The only downside to Penneys is that you can't buy online (although that's probable a better thing for our purse!)

Here are some of our favourite pieces in the collection....

I honestly cannot wait to see what the rest of the collection, it can only get prettier! (also so sorry for the lack of pricing, could only find it in pounds. But you and I both know nothing will be too expensive.)

My Favourite Highlighters!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well :)

So I asked on our snapchat (SandS_blog) if you wanted to see my favourite highlighters and we got a great response! Who doesn't like a bit of glow in their life? Still obsessing over Khloe's highlight here,AMAZING!

Here we go!

•MAC " Soft and Gentle "

This one is absolutely fab on any skin tone! It is a tad pricey at €31 but even if you just bought this one it would last you years! Brush some of this over a cream highlighter for an extra glow! I've used this on some people when doing their makeup and they have loved it so much that they went and purchased it for themselves! I'm pretty sure it's MAC's best selling highlighter! It's available in store or here!

• Topshop's "Horizon"

I swatched this in the shop once and fell in love with it instantly! Sadly they only had a tester left. I loved it so much that I got it a few weeks later at a different Topshop. I think that's a good indicator as to know if you really want something, that you'll go back and buy it 'cause you can't stop thinking about it! This is more dark golden toned and I love to also use this as an eyeshadow! €13 and available in store or here!

• Topshop's "Glow" in Polished

Another winner from Topshop is this cream Glow. I've had this for well over a year and I still have loads left. It's buildable too so you can manage the intensity of it!

•Benefit's "Watts Up"

I love pairing this under Soft and Gentle as it's more golden/champagne than white. I love the cream formulation also! I probably reach for this one the most!

•ELF Baked Blush in "Pinktastic"

At the time of when I bought this, their baked highlights were out of stock so I got this instead. I think this is amazing for the price! I feel like it's a great dupe for Soft and Gentle. The pigmentation is fantastic and it's only £3! It has some pink reflects going through it so if you're not a big blush person like myself, it's a great way to sneak in some natural blush tones!

I tried to swatch all of them together so could all see the difference! It didn't work out too well but sure :)

Why You Need Makeup Geek In Your Life! -09/01/16

Hey there and welcome back! So over the Christmas holidays, I did a snapchat tutorial ( add us: SandS_blog) using Makeup Geek eyeshadows. I got a load of questions about them so I said I'd put all my information together in a blog post!

Makeup Geek is an American brand created by Marlena Stell. She worked as a music teacher who always had an interest in makeup. In 2008, she set up her Youtube channel and quit her job as a teacher. She then decided to start her own makeup brand, implementing what she thought was important when it came to makeup and her customers: high pigment,custom colours that retails at an affordable price. She was also annoyed that makeup brands like MAC would charge about €16.50 for an eyeshadow when it costs a lot less to make it.

So if you are a Youtube fanatic ( like myself!) and you watch the likes of Jaclyn Hill, Mannymua, Nikkie Tutorials etc you will probably have already heard about these amazing eyeshadows. I honestly can not praise these eyeshadows enough! They are the most highly pigmented eyeshadows I own. They blend seamlessly and I use them in every eye look I do. They are comparable to the Inglot eyeshadows but I slightly prefer these ones more! They are $5.99 each which is about €4.70 (depending on exchange rate!) which I think is amazing value! One dip of your brush into the pan is plenty. You're saving money as you're using a lot less which is why I didn't mind paying the shipping fee. 

I got my lovely 8 eyeshadows last February for my birthday and I still haven't hit pan on any of them which is crazy! These will last you a very long time and I promise will be a great addition to your collection, be it big or small :) 

They come singularly like the Inglot eyeshadows and they will fit into a Flexi Palette from Inglot, any empty MAC palette and of course any Z Palette which is what I like to use :)

There's a mix of Makeup Geek, MAC and Urban
Decay here! Great for on the go.

• My favourites to use as a transition colour are Beaches and Cream and Crème Brulee combined. It allows the rest of your shadows to blend together and not look too harsh.
• I love adding Cocoa Bear on the bottom lash like for a warm pop of colour without going too intense.
• Bitten will add sass to any eye look! The red brick tones makes the other colours pop and looks great with any eye colour!
• Corrupt is the blackest black on the market! A light hand will do with this beauty.
• Duchess is great in the crease to liven up a plain brown smoky eye, looks great on green eyes!
• Finally Sea Mist and Mermaid I think are great combined on the lid or on bottom lash line to have fun with an eye look. Looks amazing paired with an eyeliner flick!

There are also other beautiful products in this brand like blushes,foiled eyeshadows,pigments,sparklers,duo chrome eyeshadows, gel eyeliners and brushes but I haven't been able to get my hands on any of these, yet ;)
