5 Foundations for Sensitive Skin-09/05/2015

Welcome back everyone! It's hard to believe it's blogging time again :) We have been asked to do a post on the best foundations for sensitive skin so here you have it! Ask and you shall receive! Of course as always we'd love to hear from you! So without further ado we'll get started!

1. M.A.C Studio Sculpt

This gel based foundation provides light to full coverage. Its creamy texture hydrates your skin and eliminates any dullness that may be there. It helps to cover blemishes, dark circles, and minor scarring. It feels fresh and lasts throughout the day. For application, it’s important to start with a small amount as it spreads easily on the skin. Two small squeezes out of the tube will give you moderate to full coverage!

2. Bourjois Healthy Mix

This is a lovely one as it's suitable for all skin types (dry, oily, sensitive, etc.). It's packed with a host of antioxidant, radiance-boosting ingredients, like ginger, apple, apricot and melon to keep your skin feeling healthy. It is super light-weight.It’s has a semi-dewy finish. It’s available in six super wearable, easy-to-blend shades: Light Vanilla, Vanilla, Light Beige, Beige, Dark Beige and Light Bronze. It has a lovely fruity smell too :)

3.l'Oreal True Match

This is marketed as a ‘super blendable’ foundation with a creamy liquid texture, flawless finish and true-to-skin shades that ‘matches the colour and texture of your skin’. It contains SPF 17 and it comes in a 30ml glass bottle with a pump ( pumps are so important! Avoids waste). It's buildable and doesn't cake on the face. It has a medium coverage and does cover blemishes and scarring and is kind to your skin.

4.Maybelline Fit Me

This foundation offers a mild coverage while still giving a fresh look. It is also long lasting and gives a dewy finish which is excellent for dry and sensitive skin. This foundation looks great when applied using a foundation brush to achieve a flawless coverage.

5.Revlon ColourStay

This is really full coverage! There's a great colour selection and it's long wearing for an affordable price. For me this is a special occasion foundation it's too heavy for day to day basis. I really wish it came with a pump! It's not too heavy that it won't be gentle on your skin so don't be put off by this. It's always compared to the Estée Lauder Double Wear and is obviously a lot cheaper! It will definitely cover up any blemishes and/or scarring. It retails in Boots at €14.79.

If none of these work for you don't be alarmed! Everyone's different. People's skin reacts differently. Hope you liked something more specific and we will be doing more blogs like this in the future!

If you tried any of these we'd love to hear from you!

Don't forget to keep sharing everyone! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stay Sparkling!

  1. I love the Revlon foundation. The coverage is fab as I still get blemishes even at 40! Alarming but true. I will try the Bourjois one you suggest though as it sounds like a lovely day foundation for the days my skin is behaving itself. Thanks girls xxx
